How can I open the big iron gate blocking the cave entrance?

  • 1 of 9: You need to use a nearby gate-opening gimmick.
  • 2 of 9: The gimmick is behind the wooden door that's to the left of the gate.
  • 3 of 9: After the wooden door is open, point at the inscription on it.
  • 4 of 9: It's a riddle that gives you a clue as to how to use the gate-opening gimmick.
  • 5 of 9: It mentions money, as does the relevant passage in Silver's enigma.
  • 6 of 9: That means you'll have to find some coins to use.
  • 7 of 9: Put the purse in the niche behind the raised wooden door to bring up a display of its contents.
  • 8 of 9: You now need to choose exactly which coins to put on the tray in there.
  • 9 of 9: As soon as you get the correct coin set onto the tray, the cave's iron gate will rise out of your way.
