The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal Hints
I can see what's going on, but how do I get to the next location?
of 11: There's really only one feature in this room -- the machine in the middle.
of 11: Notice the two levers with the glowing red or green lights on the right side of the machine.
of 11: And wait around to see what happens with the machine.
of 11: Every once in a while, it will produce a fabricant, and the outer door of the machine will open so that the fabricant can get out.
of 11: BUG NOTE: The machine will somehow keep making fabricants even if the game is paused! Don't pause the game in this area for awhile and then resume playing, or you'll find a huge mob of verminous fabricants waiting for you the next time the machine's doors open. Be sure to save your game as soon as you enter the dome so you can restore back to it if you take too long figuring this place out.
of 11: You can also open the machine's doors yourself.
of 11: Pulling the levers will open the doors, although you can only open one door yourself at any given point. (A green light indicates an open door -- you'll need to close the other door first if it's already open.)
of 11: But just because *you* can't open more than one door at once doesn't mean that only one door can be open at a time.
of 11: Remember that the machine will open the outer door on its own when a fabricant is ready.
of 11: Wait until you start to hear the machine cranking up again, or until you can see the top of the machine shaking, and then open the inner door (the one controlled by the right-hand lever). Now, stand in front of the outer door, and a fabricant will eventually open that one on its own. Go through the door, fight the fabricant, and proceed through the other door at the back of the machine, which you should have already opened.
of 11: If that doesn't work, you can just cheat to get to the next location. (I found that the game was a bit temperamental here, as the outer door sometimes got stuck for no apparent good reason, and I had to restore a saved game once or twice.)
