Disloyalty Among the Guards

  • 1 of 9: After you report back on the Temple Informant quest, Tienius will give you this quest to talk to the palace guards about joining the guards, so you can find out which ones might be disloyal to King Helseth, and then bring evidence back to Tienius.
  • 2 of 9: You can find most of the guards either in the Throne Room or the Guards' Quarters (both in the Royal Palace, of course).  Just keep talking about "join the Royal Guards" with all of the guards you can find.
  • 3 of 9: There's one particular guard (and only one guard) who will act a bit suspicious.
  • 4 of 9: You should talk to Ivulen Irano in the Throne Room.  He stutters a bit when he says that it's an honor to serve King Helseth.
  • 5 of 9: That's as much as you're going to get directly from any particular guard.  You can't report your suspicions directly to Tienius (well, you could, but he wouldn't do anything) -- what you need to do now is follow up on your suspicions.
  • 6 of 9: Look around in the Guards' Quarters area.
  • 7 of 9: Ivulen has a trunk there.
  • 8 of 9: But don't look in the trunk -- look next to it.
  • 9 of 9: There's a handwritten note next to the trunk that mentions the names of three particular guards.  That note is all you need to give Tienius.  Go back to him and talk about "disloyalty among the guards" one more time, and he'll send you on your next quest.
