How do I read D'ni numbers?
1 of 7: All D'ni numbers are contained within boxes -- that's how they can often be easily recognized. The lines and shapes within the boxes is what differentiates one number from another.
2 of 7: You may know the D'ni number system from Riven: The Sequel to Myst. If you didn't play Riven, however, or forgot the number system, Uru contains its own lesson. Check out your Relto for it.

4 of 7: Books often have numbered pages, don't they?
5 of 7: There's one with numbered pages -- it's on the bookshelf to your right as you enter the hut.
6 of 7: The pages are numbered in numerical order, starting with 1 and increasing by 1 for each page. Write the numbers down if you need to in order to remember them.
7 of 7: All D'ni numbers are inside a rectangular box -- that's how they can be identified as numbers. Which specific number a box represents is signified by what is inside the box.
