How do I retrieve the potassium nitrate that has escaped in zero-gravity?

  • 1 of 9: This process is actually much simpler than it may at first appear.  Despite the apparent urgency, this is not a timed sequence, so take all the time you need.
  • 2 of 9: You will not be able to retrieve the floating droplets in your bare hands.  Some kind of container will be necessary.
  • 3 of 9: There is a metal can on the floor, beneath the dripping water faucet and basin.
  • 4 of 9: But the metal can alone has too small a mouth to catch the droplets.  How can you increase your chances of catching them?
  • 5 of 9: Look near where you found the metal can.
  • 6 of 9: Inserted into the tank of potassium nitrate is a funnel.
  • 7 of 9: Take the funnel, and insert it (combine it in inventory) into the metal can.
  • 8 of 9: You now have a good "droplet catcher".
  • 9 of 9: With the combined can and funnel in hand, simply move your cursor over any floating droplet, and it will be "trapped" in the can.  (You do not need to click the mouse.)
