How do I open the door down here?

  • 1 of 10: Ardan says "This door is a challenge".  And there doesn't appear to be any mechanism nearby that will help in opening the door.
  • 2 of 10: In fact, there is one way to open the door from this side, but it will not be available until later in the game.
  • 3 of 10: However, it may be possible to navigate Ardan to the other side of the door, and open it from there.
  • 4 of 10: To do that, you will need to approach from the top of the mountain...
  • 5 of 10: ... and explore the underground caverns.
  • 6 of 10: On Level 2 in the underground caverns, you will find a door that leads back to this room -- to the back side of this door.
  • 7 of 10: The other way to open the door (from this side of the door) involves something else in this area.
  • 8 of 10: Have you examined the scale-like machine, near where you entered the underground area?
  • 9 of 10: If operated correctly, you can use the scale to open the door.
  • 10 of 10: This machine -- which resembles a scale -- operates exactly like its counterpart beneath the central plateau.
