How do I get the pipe organ to work?

  • 1 of 12: If you click on any of the buttons, Ardan will initially say "I've got to figure out a way to open the air supply".
  • 2 of 12: Look around the organ -- especially at the large pipes coming out the bottom.
  • 3 of 12: The pipes lead up some steps, and into an adjacent room.
  • 4 of 12: Follow the pipes up to the next room.  They lead to two controls with ideograms on them.
  • 5 of 12: Even without knowing both ideograms, you can probably intuit (from the situation, as well as the symbols themselves) that they represent "air" and "water".
  • 6 of 12: Each symbol is associated with a valve, or lever, that has two positions -- either a horizontal or a vertical orientation.
  • 7 of 12: Clicking either one causes the valve to turn to its other position.
  • 8 of 12: The horizontal position represents a "shut" valve, while the vertical position represents an "open" valve.
  • 9 of 12: Continue to follow the large pipes around the room, in an attempt to find out "what connects to what".
  • 10 of 12: The pipe connected to the "air valve" continues on to connect to what looks like a huge fan.
  • 11 of 12: The fan needs to be running, to supply air to the organ.
  • 12 of 12: When both the air supply and the water supply to the organ have been fully restored, the organ will work, and the various keys will produce individual tones.
