Voyage Hints
I've called the aliens in, but they're just standing on the scale.
of 9: Have you figured out yet how the scale works?
of 9: As you call each alien in from the field, it arrives at exactly the same place that you did -- standing in front of the scale (and on the pressure-sensitive pad on the floor).
of 9: The aliens have no idea why you called them here. Normally, their shepherd calls them to their "stables". But they cannot get there from here.
of 9: However, the door at the far side of the room leads down to the tunnel that leads to their stables.
of 9: If only you could get the door open...
of 9: Opening it from the other side (i.e., having Ardan go around to the far side, and come through from there) won't work. He'll simply return to the room, with the aliens still standing on the scale.
of 9: The good news is that the scale -- even before it is fixed with grease -- is set to "3". That is why Ardan alone, standing in front of the scale, couldn't open the door.
of 9: One by one, as you call the aliens into the room, they will all stand on the scale's pressure-pad.
of 9: As the third one arrives, it will trigger the door at the far side of the room to open, and a storyboard interlude will show the aliens all heading for the door, and down to their stables.
