The Watchmaker Hints
How do I duplicate the weight of the coin?
of 11: You'll need three things to accomplish this task: something to actually use to duplicate the weight, something to hold it in, and something to verify that what you've got weighs the same as the coin.
of 11: The first item -- the stuff you'll use to duplicate the weight, is a powder of some sort.
of 11: In particular, it's the incense from the sauna.
of 11: The thing you'll use to hold it in can be found on the top floor of the castle.
of 11: Two envelopes will probably do the trick.
of 11: You can find them in one of the drawers in the room closest to the lift with the metal doors.
of 11: Finally, you'll need a weighing mechanism.
of 11: The scales in the old wing (in the upper hallway) will serve this purpose nicely.
of 11: You need the weight of two coins in one hand, and the weight of three in the other. You already have the weight of one (the coin itself). You just need to divide up the incense so it covers the rest.
of 11: You want to get two "doses" of incense in each envelope.
of 11: The easiest way of doing this is putting the coin on one scale, adding the incense to the other, scooping it into an envelope, and repeating the process twice for each envelope.
