The Witcher Hints
How can I defeat the Beast?
1 of 7: This battle varies in difficulty from trivial to very hard depending on how high level you are, and whether or not you were able to upgrade your weapon.
2 of 7: You'll have different allies during the fight depending on whether you decided to save Abigail or let her be killed. It's probably a bit tougher if you saved Abigail, as the Peasants provide very effective cannon fodder.
3 of 7: When the fight begins, the Beast will summon a bunch of Barghests, and attack. You can take out the Barghests if you want, but it's best to just go straight after the Beast, as it's the only thing you need to kill.
4 of 7: Use you Strong Style on it, as fast will take way too long to kill it. Be prepared to be hit with pain a few times -- this will be a bit aggravating, but if you keep at it the Beast should go down. If you find the battle too difficult you may want to reload and use a Swallow potion before leaving the cave.
5 of 7: Once it's dead, if you saved Abigail you'll have to kill the Reverend, Odo, Haren, and a bunch of peasants. They are completely trivial.
6 of 7: Once you're done, be sure to look the Beast's body, as it has an ingredient for a potion to get you a free Silver Talent.
7 of 7: You'll also need to get a Letter of Safe Conduct from the Reverend -- it will be on his body if you killed him.
