Can I upgrade my weapon in this chapter?

  • 1 of 4: Yes, it's possible to find enough meteorites to upgrade your sword -- actually, it is possible to forge a 3 red meteorite sword, which is the best available until Chapter 4. Blue meteorites are pretty much useless and can be sold.
  • 2 of 4: You can get one red meteorite in the Prologue if you chose to help kill the frightener -- talk to Vesemir in the hall afterwards and he will give it to you.
  • 3 of 4: You can find two more in chapter one as parts of optional quests -- one in the crypt and one from helping Leuvaarden:
  • 4 of 4: There is a blacksmith right outside the Inn during the day who will forge it for you -- the triple red meteorite sword costs 1000 Orens, which very affordable if you've been selling lots of stuff and playing lots of Dice Poker. This sword will make the boss battle amusingly easy (as well as pretty much every battle with humans for a long time).
