The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints

Descend into the lower passages to get the immortelle.

  • 1 of 11: Go through the nearby door, followed by a couple more doors to enter the mine's first tunnel.
  • 2 of 11: Draw your silver sword and go through the door at its other end, ready to hack a bunch of rotfiends. Note that you might want to enter meditation mode and drink a Cat potion so you can see better before entering the rotfiend area.
  • 3 of 11: After you finish off the rotfiends, go NE and through a door, then turn left to find a locked door.
  • 4 of 11: Past that locked door, move down the tunnel and slash rotfiends as you encounter them until you reach another door.
  • 5 of 11: Go through it and on to find another locked door at a path split.
  • 6 of 11: Past that locked door is a large well-lit cavern with lots of rotfiends in it. Be sure to hang back and let your dwarf pals take most of the heat.
  • 7 of 11: Go down the ramp to the lower floor and move along the tunnel, passing by a door on your right, until you come to yet another locked door.
  • 8 of 11: Past that locked door, follow the winding tunnel around until you reach the cave where you'll have to fight a bullvore in addition to rotfiends. Be sure to use your Yrden and Quen signs, as well as your dwarf pals, to survive the fight.
  • 9 of 11: After the bullvore is dead, loot one of the plants growing around the edges of the pool in its cave to get some immortelle.
  • 10 of 11: NOTE: The quest will immediately end, but you'll still have to find your way out of the mine. If you use the area map frequently, you should be able to make it without having to use any more Cat potions.
  • 11 of 11: NOTE: The third and last tunnel you need to collapse for the "Hey, Work's on in the Mines!" side quest is at the south end of the bullvore's area.
