The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints
Search the ravines mentioned by the old dwarf.
1 of 3: Leave Vergen through the Mahakam Gate, then go back to the path split area with the big wooden idol. (If you haven't been there yet, see the first few hints of the "Search the caves for a useful artifact" objective for directions.)
2 of 3: Go down the path that starts on the idol's right side to reach a troll camp.
3 of 3: Approach the male troll, then talk to him about Triss and his trollish wife to get the next objective.
