The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Hints

Defeat Letho.

  • 1 of 4: Letho is a witcher, so he'll have the same signs and powers as your character does. That and his extremely large amount of health will make this a very hard combat on even the lowest difficulty setting.
  • 2 of 4: Start by quickly hitting him as many times as you can before he uses his Quen sign for protection.
  • 3 of 4: Like your Quen sign, his will wear off after a short amount of time, so it's in your best interests to run around and dodge his attacks until it wears off. He won't be able to recast it right away, so take the opportunity to attack him.
  • 4 of 4: After his health is knocked down to less than half, he'll escape in a cut-scene, and the "Where Is Triss Merigold?" quest will start. After it's over, you'll get the "At a Crossroads: Vernon Roche" and "At a Crossroads: Scoia'tael" quests, and will need to decide who to side with for the rest of the game.
