What happens if I lie and say the monsters got them?
1 of 7: The guards will pay you for your help and leave, and Malena will arrange a rendezvous in the forest.
2 of 7: To get there, go south down the stream that leads from Lobinden to a pool and a waterfall, either killing or running past all the nekkers that appear along the way.
3 of 7: You'll find Malena standing next to the north edge of the pool. When you approach her, she'll talk to you briefly, and then you'll be attacked by several powerful Scoia'Tael elves.
4 of 7: Use your magic signs and all the room you have to maneuver to help take them down, then go looking for Malena.
5 of 7: You'll find her hiding out in the ruins that you visit on the "In the Claws of Madness" side quest.
