The Harpy Contract

  • 1 of 8: To get this quest, click on the notice board that's to the right of the inn's entrance door, then click on the harpy contract and choose to take it.
  • 2 of 8: If you haven't killed very many harpies yet, the first thing to do will be to go kill a bunch of them. You'll know you've killed enough when you get an objective about using harpy traps.
  • 3 of 8: If you don't have a diagram for creating harpy traps yet, buy one from Haggard.
  • 4 of 8: He also has some silver ore for sale, and he can craft harpy traps for you. However, you're going to need a total of seven traps, and he probably won't have enough ingredients for sale to make all of them. You may need to buy some pre-made harpy traps from him, or wait until you can find more trap-making ingredients elsewhere.
  • 5 of 8: There are only four nests in the outdoor quarry area, so you should only use four harpy traps there. If you set a fifth one, the harpies won't pick it up, and you'll have to collect it to get it back.
  • 6 of 8: The other three nests are in the harpy lair, which you won't be able to enter until you reach the next-to-last objective on the "Hunting Magic" quest.
  • 7 of 8: While working on it, set the last three harpy traps while fighting any of the regular harpies (not the celaeno harpies) in the lair.
  • 8 of 8: After all seven nests are destroyed, return to Vergen and talk to Cecil Burdon in his home to get your reward.
