The Gargoyle Contract

  • 1 of 8: Find the notice board a bit to the west of the merchant named Bras of Ban Ard, and take the gargoyle contract from it to get this quest.
  • 2 of 8: Optionally talk to Ban Ard about the gargoyles, then go learn more about them. As usual with contract quests, you can learn about them either by killing several of them or reading about them in a book.
  • 3 of 8: If you'd rather learn through killing, read on to learn where the three magical gargoyle seals are. You might as well clear the gargoyles out of those areas while doing your learning.
  • 4 of 8: After you get a journal update about deactivating the magical seals, start looking around the city for them.
  • 5 of 8: Directions on getting to each seal chamber are given below.
  • 6 of 8: Inside each seal chamber, you'll need to extinguish the four glowing runes (one near each corner of the room) in the correct order.
  • 7 of 8: If you extinguish them in the wrong order, you'll get hit by some elemental damage. If you do it right, the seal will be deactivated, and you can loot the nearby chest.
  • 8 of 8: After you deactivate all three seals, return to the merchants' area and tell Bras of Ban Ard that you exterminated the gargoyles to get your reward.
