Optional: Completing the Alliance Mission

  • 1 of 6: During your exploration of Dominus, you'll encounter two factions, the Umpani and the T'rang, who are essentially at war. Each will try to enlist your party's aid in exterminating the other. However, both factions share a deep loathing for the Dark Savant. At some point in the game, it may become necessary for the T'rang and Umpani to put aside their differences and work together to defeat the Savant. Your party's actions will play a crucial role in bringing about this alliance.
  • 2 of 6: Should your party be asked to undertake an overt attack against the opposing faction, all chances of an alliance between the two factions will be lost. Additionally, should your party become hostile toward one of the factions by attacking NPCs, the alliance mission will also become unavailable.

    The best way to avoid any hostilities is to work for only one of the factions, and ignore the other. However, you may choose to work for both sides. In this case, you'll need to be more careful in your dealings with the NPCs.
  • 3 of 6: Keeping the T'rang and Umpani on at least neutral terms is the difficult part of this mission. Once you've reached the Rapax Away Camp, you will find two prisoners, a T'rang and an Umpani. Speak with these prisoners to learn of the threat the Dark Savant poses, then recruit them into your party.
  • 4 of 6: After recruiting the two prisoners (which will immediately ruin your faction rating with the Rapax), speak with Z'ant and General Yamir to set up the alliance. Z'ant will give you a device containing the coordinates of the Dark Savant's ship, while Yamir will grant you access to the weaponry on Mt. Gigas Peak.
  • 5 of 6: To reach the peak of Mt. Gigas, exit General Yamir's office and take the eastern passage out of the cave. At the intersections, go south, east, then south again.
  • 6 of 6: On the peak, you will see a runway with a missile and a computer standing beside it. Use the T'rang device on the computer to destroy the Savant's ship. At this point you can return to either Yamir or Z'ant, at which point Drazic and Rodan will leave your party.
