What should I see in the telescope?

  • 1 of 17: There is more to see through the telescope than "birds".
  • 2 of 17: If you have not tried to use the telescope before now, refer to the hints "How does the telescope work?" before going any further.
  • 3 of 17: To find out the settings, do some map searching.
  • 4 of 17: Did you look at the wall map above Al's desk?
  • 5 of 17: If you haven't figured out the cane, now is the time to do it.
  • 6 of 17: The Treasure Map from the cane is only part of another map.
  • 7 of 17: There's a map above Al King's desk.
  • 8 of 17: Superimpose the Treasure Map on top of the wall map, matching the compass marking.
  • 9 of 17: The important thing to note is the difference between the elevation of Al's house and the final destination.
  • 10 of 17: Did you find an urn at the Ferrin's Hill Cemetery?
  • 11 of 17: Winslow's note had the number 165 and the words "100 times".
  • 12 of 17: Look at the pages sitting next to the telescope.  They give angles, ranges, and settings for the differences.
  • 13 of 17: From Winslow's note, the range should be 16500.
  • 14 of 17: The difference between the house and the final destination is 150, for an angle of 0.5 from the chart.
  • 15 of 17: The second setting is the answer from the math problem on the wall of the cemetery crypt.
  • 16 of 17: Set the telescope to the settings +0.5  and  +27.
  • 17 of 17: Click on the telescope and line up the vertical and horizontal arrows.
