Fontaine Combat Tips
1 of 16: Fontaine will fight you in three forms, with the first one being his fire form.
3 of 16: Unfortunately, freezing Fontaine won't do you much good, since it's impossible to shatter him before he defrosts, and most of the damage you do him while frozen will be done to his "ice health" instead of to him.
4 of 16: You could dodge around and shoot him with the crossbow or something like that, but it's much easier to exploit his secret weakness.
5 of 16: He's extremely vulnerable to the chemical thrower's electric gel ammo, especially if you have the Electric Flesh and Electric Flesh 2 tonics active.
6 of 16: Use a continuous stream of electric gel to fry him until his health reaches zero.
7 of 16: It shouldn't take long, and you'll easily be able to do it without getting hurt if you start as soon as you recover after he pushes you off his machine.
8 of 16: Whenever he returns to his machine to recharge, you should quickly run back up its stairs and drain him of some more ADAM.
9 of 16: He won't wait forever for you to do that like when you first came into the area. If you wait too long, he'll leave the machine in the same form he was in, and you'll have to knock his health down to zero again.
10 of 16: His second form is his ice form, so fire is the obvious thing to use against him.
11 of 16: However, the chemical thrower's electric gel ammo is once again by far the best way to overcome him.
12 of 16: But first, run over to the bot shutdown panel (check the map screen if you forget where it is) and use it as soon as Fontaine sics some bots on you. That way, you can gel-fry him in peace.
13 of 16: His third form is an electric one, but guess what? He's still just as vulnerable to the electric gel attack as before. (I hope this isn't a game bug or programming oversight that gets fixed later.)
14 of 16: The catch this time is that several splicers will appear and attack you. However, you can pretty much ignore them as you fry Fontaine. (Do watch your health, though, and pop a first aid kit whenever necessary.)
15 of 16: When he's forced to return to his ADAM machine again, run up and drain him of ADAM one last time to finish the fight.
