Black Mirror III Hints
Shade labyrinth.
of 12: The labyrinth is basically a big ol' puzzle, so the hints will be organized in the usual puzzle style. First off, note that the entire labyrinth fits on one screen, so you don't need to worry about having to deal with scrolling or exits to other labyrinth screens.
of 12: There are eleven rooms total, each of which is connected to at least one other room by a door.
of 12: When you use the SPACEBAR to view all hotspots, you'll only be able to see the ones in the room that your currently selected character is in (plus the ones on the two shadow creatures).
of 12: In most rooms, the only hotspots are the switches that open and close the doors. In some rooms, there'll also be a sarcophagus or some other thing to examine.
of 12: Due to the angled overhead view you have of the labyrinth, it can often be hard to see where a room's doors are (unless you're inside the room, in which case you can press SPACEBAR to find the doors' switches). It would be handy to have a map of the area that clearly showed all the doors.
of 12: There's an in-game map that you can use once you find it.
of 12: After you get the old note, you can right-click on it in inventory to get a close-up of the map whenever you want to.
of 12: Notice that the map uses short lines to show where doors connect rooms together. However, it doesn't show the locations of the doors' switches, and some doors have switches on only one side.
of 12: Due to this, you may want to draw your own map on paper and add door switch locations as you find them. Or you can print out the map given below, which has all of the door switches labeled on it. (Note that it's also more accurately drawn than the in-game map, which should make it more useful.)
of 12: As for the numbers that are on the in-game map (and on my labyrinth map in the top right corner of each room), they have to do with the room lights.
of 12: Your goal in this puzzle is to get three offering items from the labyrinth and get back out alive. (Note that one of the offering items isn't in a sarcophagus.)
