1 of 2: You can get this quest by sweet-talking Iona and inviting her to your room while checking out the Castle Optionals.
2 of 2: Unfortunately, she'll be killed at the beginning of the attack that happens when the "Howe Treachery" quest starts, and there's nothing you can do about it.
