Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Escape the Fade.
1 of 9: Use the Fade pedestal that appears after the battle to bring up the Fade area's weird "world map."
2 of 9: At first, you can only travel to the area called "The Raw Fade," where you'll meet Niall.
3 of 9: Talk to him about everything, then use the Fade portal to the east to be taken to an area with a rage demon.
4 of 9: Defeat it, using the nearby lyrium vein if you need to, in order to gain the power to shapeshift into a mouse.
5 of 9: When you exit the mouse hole, you'll be in an area with a lesser rage demon. You can immediately shapeshift back to your regular form (by clicking on the mouse picture again), or you can sneak up next to the demon first.
6 of 9: After the battle, look around for a disturbing statue (codex entry), a lyrium vein, and a Fade portal.
7 of 9: This portal will take you to an area where you'll need to fight three demons one at a time (and use lyrium veins as needed) as you make your way to another Fade portal.
8 of 9: That one will return you to Niall's area. After you talk to him about your mousy experience, you'll be able to use the Fade pedestal to reach four other Fade areas.
