Dragon Age II Hints

The Bone Pit

  • 1 of 7: To get this quest, finish the "Birthright" companion quest, then accept the "The Bone Pit" letter that's on the writing desk in Gamlen's house.
  • 2 of 7: Talk to Hubert in Hightown's market area during the day, then stock up on cold damage and fire resistance items before traveling to the Bone Pit on the Free Marches map.
  • 3 of 7: Look nearby for lootable rubble and the remains that'll start the "Remains of the Outlaw 'Half-Braid' Silsam" side quest, then go down to where the path turns east.
  • 4 of 7: After you finish off two small waves of looters, you can go straight into the Bone Pit Mines to the north (after quicksaving), or you can look around for loot first.
  • 5 of 7: As soon as you exit the mines, a mature dragon will swoop down and attack you.
  • 6 of 7: Loot the dragon to get an item that's useful for another secondary quest, then look near the campfire for some lootable rubble. When you're ready to go, use the cave entrance to bring up the world map.
  • 7 of 7: Travel to Hightown on the Kirkwall Day map and talk to Hubert to finish this quest and get "Get Back to Work."
