How do I get into room 201?

• 1 of 10: Room 201 is the one that the girl from the security monitors showed to you.  As you might guess, it's on the second floor of the hotel -- up the stairs from the lobby.
  • There's some guard in the hotel lobby. How do I get past him?
• 2 of 10: Unfortunately for you -- but not unexpectedly -- the door in the main hallway into the room is locked.
• 3 of 10: And you won't be able to pick open that lock.
• 4 of 10: So you're going to have to find another way in -- and that will pretty much mean exploring the rest of the hotel.
• 5 of 10: Start by trying to find a way up to the third floor.

• 6 of 10: When you were out on the fire escape going up to the third floor, you might have noticed that parts of the fire escape were falling apart -- and that's why you couldn't just go straight across the balcony to 201.  But there still was a fire escape outside 201, which you could probably use to enter, if only you came from the right direction.
• 7 of 10: In other words, find another way back down.
• 8 of 10: See if you can see room 201 from the third floor.
• 9 of 10: There's a spot in the hallway with a radiator underneath a window at the far end of the hall from where you entered.  That gives you a clear view of room 201, but no way down onto the fire escape.
  • How can I climb down to the fire escape from there?
• 10 of 10: From this second piece of fire escape, you can just walk around to room 201 and climb into the window.
