How can I restore the stag fresco for Tika?

  • 1 of 20: The stag fresco is in a state of disrepair.  Arok will need to "retouch" the fresco to make it look like new again.  But Arok won't be able to make any repairs until he knows what the original painting looked like.  To know this, he will need to reassemble the broken tablets and be able to pick them up.
  • 2 of 20: Next, Arok will need to figure out which painting Tika wanted restored.  The tablets will provide the clue needed to determine this.
  • 3 of 20: Having trouble deciding how to start the restoration process?  Maybe you can get some help.
  • 4 of 20: Speak to Tika and ask how to restore the painting. 
  • 5 of 20: Tika will tell Arok that the first step in the restoration process is to clean the wall.
  • 6 of 20: Now it's time to retouch the painting.  At this stage of the restoration, you will be doing more of a reapplication of the colors filling in the stag, rather than fine outlining.
  • 7 of 20: You will need to locate some paint suitable for the job.  Look around the room for something that may have been left behind by the previous painter.
  • 8 of 20: Look carefully for three separate "hot spots" on the fresco to which you can apply the black paint..
  • 9 of 20: Once the black paint is applied, there won't be any more to do until Arok has another painting tool.  He won't be able to find this tool, it will need to be made...
  • 10 of 20: ...by Tika.  Talk to Tika and she will tell Arok what she needs.
  • 11 of 20: Tika asks Arok for a reed.  When you find the reed, return to give it to Tika.
  • 12 of 20: Hmm... nothing is quite that simple in this game, is it?  When Arok returns with the reed, Tika asks for a waterskin.
  • 13 of 20: Once you have the waterskin ready, it isn't necessary to take it to Tika, although if you did, she would give you a hint as to what you should do.
  • 14 of 20: Go back to the painting and wait.  Tika will show up shortly.
  • 15 of 20: Tika says there is an additional clue to completing the fresco on the reconstructed stone tablets.
  • 16 of 20: You will need to use the blowpipe that Tika gives you, to paint some dots under the stag -- to the left and right of the existing ones.
  • 17 of 20: Three more dots to continue the line of dots to the left; two more dots to continue the line of dots to the right.
  • 18 of 20: The last finishing touch is not done with paint.  Use the knife that Tika brought with her...
  • 19 of 20: ...to make a carving in the bottom left corner of the painting (at the left end of the row of dots).
  • 20 of 20: You will need to use the knife two times in order to complete the carving.
