Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Kill Dog.

  • 1 of 4: Get out your best melee or unarmed weapon and start attacking Dog with it. Or if you've already repaired all the gas valves, you can use any weapon.
  • 2 of 4: After you damage him a bit, he'll talk to you again, offering a couple more Speech checks. If you can't pass either one, you'll have to finish him off, after which you'll get the "Get out of the kitchen before Dog's collar detonates -- and detonates ..." objective.
  • 3 of 4: If you can pass the Speech 35 check, you can get Dog to kill himself, after which you'll get the above-mentioned objective.
  • 4 of 4: The other Speech check is the same Speech 75 check that you could've gotten earlier by passing a Speech 50 check instead of fighting Dog. See the "Confront Dog and convince him to back down -- one way or another" objective hints for more about that.
