Villa West Side Tour

  • 1 of 9: Jump into the big central fountain in the starting area and grab up all of its Sierra Madre chips, plus the Sierra Madre-brand Ace of Spades card. At the south end of the fountain is a gadget you can use to talk to Father Elijah again, and at the north end is an Unarmed skill book on the ground.
  • 2 of 9: Before you move on, you can optionally take advantage of a few glitches to gain some extra XP.
  • 3 of 9: Both north and west of the central fountain are smaller fountains with more chips in them. Go south from the western small fountain to find a side area with a bench that has duct tape, another chip, and a cosmic knife near it. Melee weapon specialists will probably want to equip the knife.
  • 4 of 9: Look in the side area SE of the central fountain for one of the new vending machines. You can use Sierra Madre chips with it to buy various cheap items (plus doctor's bags), and you can return packs and cartons of cigarettes to get more chips. Once you start finding vending machine codes, you'll be able to buy and return a wider variety of items. (See the Vending Machine Code Locations.)
  • 5 of 9: Search around the plaza for several more loose items and a few garbage cans to loot, then start down the street that leads west.
  • 6 of 9: Look on the wall near the door to the Medical District for some cloud residue you can take, then watch for misc. items in side areas as you make your way to the small fountain-less plaza with the Puesta del Sol entrance. Look around for some items, including 20 gauge hulls, then explore the side area that's north of the Puesta del Sol door.
  • 7 of 9: Go to the south end of the little plaza area to find some steps and a blue door you can open. Go through the door and explore the small upstairs area first, then go up the stairs (grab the cloud residue on the right wall as you go) and look for two small fountains to loot for chips. There's also a knife spear stuck in a skeleton near one of the fountains, and one of Dean's secret stashes near the SE corner.
  • 8 of 9: Crouch down and sneak your way up the next set of steps with your holorifle out. Ahead is your first "ghost" encounter, so use the tactic of sneak-shooting it with the holorifle and then running up to it and hitting it repeatedly with a knife. Loot it, then look around its plaza area for loot, including ammo near the SW corner. (Note that the terminal on the south wall just activates the fountain's useless hologram.)
  • 9 of 9: The west doorway leads to the much larger plaza that has the police station entrance at its other end, but it's better to get to the same area by going up the steps in the SE corner and exploring an extra area. Once you reach the police station's plaza, look around it for loot (mostly chips), then check all of its side areas for stuff, including armor.
