Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Head to the Legate's camp and deal with the Legate and Caesar's Legion.
1 of 6: Turn right after exiting the tower and make your way slowly along the dam, watching for enemy soldiers to run in from side areas. When they do, take cover behind your securitron so it can blow them away.
2 of 6: Before long, you'll come across some more securitrons. Wait and watch as they easily roast several Legion soldiers for you, then follow them along.
3 of 6: They'll stop next to the gate to the Legate's Camp area, so go through it and down the road slowly, watching for Legion soldiers to approach from the camp ahead. Shoot them down as they appear.
4 of 6: Stop at the open drawbridge gate to the camp and use a scoped weapon to find targets for long-distance shooting. When the guards stop coming, move slowly into the camp and watch for more targets (including on a guard tower over to the right).
5 of 6: When the main camp area is clear, go down the eastern path that leads to the Legate's war tent. Near the top of the path, Legate Lanius will approach and talk to you.
6 of 6: If you want to try to avoid a super-tough combat, say that maybe he's willing to listen to reason, then put your Speech and/or Barter skills to work. Unfortunately, one or the other will have to be 100 to avoid a fight.
