Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Use the HELIOS One mainframe to send power to a destination of your choosing.
of 11: Find the door to the Solar Collection Tower, then go inside and approach the first room cautiously.
of 11: There are three ceiling turrets and two protectrons in the large room to the left. You'll want to either stay back at the corner and snipe turrets with a scoped weapon, or make a quick dash across to the nearby door and go through it.
of 11: Find and disarm the two frag mines on the floor to the left as you enter the room, then go to the back of the room and hack the terminal (Science 25+). Choose "Re-configure Targeting Parameters" to get the turrets to attack the protectrons, then go out and finish off the survivors.
of 11: Make sure the protectron on the lower floor is down, then drop down there (or use the walkway and stairs) and search the south room for a wall safe. If you can open it (Lockpick 50+), you can get some pulse grenades and mines, which are useful against robots. Check the shelves near the safe for two more pulse grenades.
of 11: Go up the stairs and into the room to the west, grabbing the Programmer's Digest skill magazine from one of the tables before going through the next door and down a dirty tunnel.
of 11: Shoot down the protectron in the next hallway, then set a pulse mine or two and wait for a Mister Gutsy robot to come after you. If it doesn't, go into the next room and lead it across your mines.
of 11: Go down the stairs in the next room and get the Fixin' Things skill magazine from a table, then go down to the bottom floor to find a sink to heal up at. Past the next door, turn right and go through another door, then try to pick open the locked door.
of 11: If you can (Lockpick 50+), you'll have a short and straight run to the elevator that leads to the HELIOS One Observation Level. If you can't, you'll need to go around and fight several protectrons in order to reach the elevator.
of 11: You'll then get five options on where to send the power. Which one you choose will determine your end-quest reward, and whether or not a certain unique weapon will work.
of 11: NOTE: After you make a choice, a new option to arm the ARCHIMEDES plant defense system will come up. If you choose it, a massive laser strike will kill the NCR troops who are outside the building after you finish the next objective, and you'll get a lot of NCR infamy. You should only do this if you're working for Caesar's Legion, and want to let them take the place over.
