Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Dealing with Contreras
of 8: Go to Camp McCarran (location 37 on the Zone 1 Map) and enter the huge terminal building. At the south end of its upper floor, go through one of the doors that leads to the concourse area, then go down to its SE end and enter the Supply Shack.
of 8: If you're level 12 or higher, talk to Sgt. Daniel Contreras and ask what he has for sale. After viewing his inventory, ask what kind of supplies he has in mind, then pay him 50 caps (or pass a Speech 50 or Barter 50 check).
of 8: Go to the Gun Runners kiosk (location 43 on the Zone 1 map) and tell Isaac that Contreras sent you, then pass a Speech 80 or Barter 80 check if you can. Otherwise, volunteer to help him with the supplies he needs. (Note that passing a check gets you XP, and gathering supplies gets you 200 caps.)
of 8: Once that's done, report back to Contreras to get 200 caps and your next task, which is to go to the Crimson Caravan Company (location 7 on the Zone 2 Map) and talk to Blake at his open-air stall in the middle of the compound.
of 8: Tell him Contreras sent you, and he'll immediately hand over the medical supplies. You can then leave, or you can first ask if there's something special about the supplies. If you can pass a Science 25 or Medicine 25 check, you'll learn that the supplies could be used to make drugs.
of 8: When you return to Contreras, you can just hand over the supplies to get 250 caps, but it's better to say that the supplies look like chem ingredients. You can then demand to be cut in on the action to get 100 extra caps, or you can insist on reporting his illegal activities to get him to turn hostile.
of 8: If you don't kill or report Contreras, leave the Supply Shack and wait several hours (or go do other things), then come back and tell him you're ready for the next task. If he's not ready to give it to you yet, go away and wait some more.
of 8: After he gives you the medical supplies back, go to Miguel's Pawn Shop (location 50 on the Zone 1 Map) in Westside. Go inside to find that a guy named Keller is there instead of the guy you were told to meet.
