Fallout 3 Hints
L'Enfant Plaza
1 of 14: This interior region includes the following Zone 9 Map locations: L'Enfant Plaza (60) and L'Enfant South (62). It has exits to two underground metro areas: Hazmat Disposal Site L5 and Irradiated Metro.
2 of 14: This area is inhabited by super mutants, so come heavily armed and with many healing items. The tour starts at the Irradiated Metro entrance.
3 of 14: Climb up the stairs and look around the starting area to find a Nuka-Cola vending machine, a garbage can, and a trash bin.
4 of 14: Go out onto the street just past the big "M" arch and look all around for super mutants and centaurs to shoot. You should be able to get two or three without having to venture out very far.
5 of 14: Go all around the large circular area with the tree in the center to see if you can find any more targets, then look SW of the circle for a mailbox next to some steps, north of it for a mail dropbox, NE of it for a fire hydrant you can drink from, and NW of it for the doors to the Office area.
6 of 14: Search the dead-end NE area for two trash bins and a burial mound (see the "The Search for Cheryl" undocumented quest), then go over to the Office doors. Head west from them and stay on the upper walkway while shooting down at any centaurs and super mutants you see in the areas below.
7 of 14: When you reach the rubble-y end of that path, check the sunken area to the NE for enemies, then go back to the tree-and-circle area. From there, head north, watching for enemies ahead of you and in the sunken area to the left.
8 of 14: When you reach the large broken bridge, go up to its west railing and see how many super mutants you can snipe in the large area to the west. If you have a sniper rifle, you can probably get several at extreme range.
9 of 14: Return to the tree-and-circle area and head down the road to the west. When you reach the diner, see if you can snipe any super mutants farther down the road, then check around for supplies.
10 of 14: After exiting the back alley, go across the street for a Nuka-Cola vending machine, plus a trash bin and two garbage cans in a side area with picnic tables.
11 of 14: Go north down the street to the intersection, ready to shoot any super mutants that survived your earlier sniping from the broken bridge. When you've gotten all you can see, go down the street to the west to see if you can find any more.
12 of 14: When you reach the rubble at the west end of the street, go back a bit and up the stairs on the north side. Check the Pulowski Preservation Shelter for wine and a Science skill book, then go east to find an ammo box next to a pillar, and a small round table with a can of pork n' beans on it.
13 of 14: Go north from that table and shoot down any nearby super mutants, then drop down into the big hole and look for a small shelter area. It has a mattress you can sleep on, several bottle caps on the mattress and on a chess board, a sniper rifle on the mattress, a locked trunk, several tin cans on the floor, and a shelf with the following items: bottle caps, pilot light, Big Guns skill book, combat helmet, two ammo boxes, and a small wooden crate covering up four frag grenades and a pulse grenade.
14 of 14: Use the little winding path to get back up to the higher level, then go west through either of the holes that leads into the final big area of the region. Move through the area and kill all remaining hostiles, then check around for supplies.
