Fallout 3 Hints

Investigate Marigold Metro Station and remove the source of the Fire Ants.

  • 1 of 7: If you got the dumpster key from Bryan earlier, go behind the diner that's a bit west of the Wilks' house and raid the trash bin for items.
  • 2 of 7: Also, go around and kill all the fire ants you can find if you're wanting to get XP from doing that. Later in the quest, all the outdoor fire ants will go into a frenzy and kill each other off.
  • 3 of 7: When you're ready, go to Marigold Station (location 9 on the Zone 9 Map) and enter the underground Marigold Station area.
  • 4 of 7: This area has a Guided Tour if you want to use it to get the most out of the area. If not, just make your way along south and east until you come to Dr. Lesko's lab.
  • 5 of 7: Talk to Dr. Lesko about his experiments and their results, then offer to help him out with the fire ant problem to get the "Eliminate all five Nest Guardians from the Ant Queen's Hatchery" objective.
  • 6 of 7: TIP: When it comes time to accept the task, choose the dialogue option about you needing some serious incentive since it's such a hefty task. That'll add a unique lab coat to the reward you'll get later.
  • 7 of 7: This objective will end once you report back to Dr. Lesko after completing the nest guardian objective.
