F.E.A.R. Hints
Eliminate enemy patrols
of 28: NOTE: The first mission (Urban Decay) may start out with the objective being "Locate Rammelmeier industrial compound," but that switches to "Eliminate enemy patrols" right after the chopper crash and before you can go anywhere or do anything.
of 28: Holiday and Sun-Kwon have to stay behind, so scout ahead on your own.
of 28: Find the passage next to the room you start in and take the stairs up.
of 28: Move down the hallway until you come to a large hole in one wall that's been hastily boarded over.
of 28: Bash out the boards and go through the hole, then up the nearby stairs.
of 28: On the next floor, you'll soon hear Replica radio chatter.
of 28: After finishing off the Heavy One and his troops, you can get around the hallway debris by going through either doorway near it.
of 28: NOTE: Depending on which way you go, you may have to bash some boards off a doorway.
of 28: Explore around the wrecky rooms, looking for supplies and more Replicas to shoot, until you come to a large hole in the floor that you can't jump across.
of 28: After the Power Armor's toast, go all the way back to the room it dropped down into and find the boarded-over doorway in the back.
of 28: The boards on the top half of the doorway can't be broken, but you can crouch down and break the boards over the bottom half and then crouch-walk through.
of 28: You'll come to a room with body armor on a table and two large windows on one wall.
of 28: Approach the left window (the one with the glass already broken out) and SlowMo-shoot the Replica you can see through a large wall hole. Hopefully, the second Replica over there will also come into view and be an easy target, too.
of 28: Now you're going to have to start dealing with a bunch of Replica snipers.
of 28: After the snipers are cleared out, the large rooftop area you're on will be secure.
of 28: TIP: Before you move on, search around to find the final new weapon of the game leaning against one of the metal housings. Yes, it's the mighty MP-50 repeating cannon, guaranteed to put a smile on your face while removing theirs!
of 28: To get to where you can try your new gun out, find the spot nearby where you can drop down to a very small rooftop segment and then jump up onto another large one.
of 28: A three-man Replica patrol will come out of a door over to the right and fan out to attack you. (If you get there before they fan out, you can kill them all in just one shot from the repeating cannon!)
of 28: After you go through the door, you'll be in the first sniper area that you cleared out earlier. Be sure to search near the windows for the Replicas' particle weapons if you want to keep that weapon with you. (There's also body armor on a little side counter.)
of 28: Find the hallway that has a large overturned table in it, but look into a room on the left before you get to the table to find three Replicas.
of 28: After they're dead, look around to find a couple of medkits, plus a health booster in a small bathroom.
of 28: NOTE: There are two more Replicas that you can shoot through a window, but you can skip them. However, if you do, your objective may glitch and stick on "Eliminate enemy patrols" until you start Interval 09.
of 28: Take the hallway around (or break through the boarded-over doorway) to get to a room with a large hole in the floor.
of 28: Grab some body armor from a nearby side room if you need it, then drop down through the hole.
of 28: As you move along, a new objective will suddenly come up for no apparent reason. (Maybe it's because you've finally eliminated all the enemy patrols in the area.)
