What's option #2?
1 of 6: Go through the open doorway on the left and then through a few side rooms.
2 of 6: When you go through the next automatic door, you'll be near the left end of the corridor that the turret is in. (It's a ways to the right of you.)
3 of 6: Before you go forward enough to activate the turret, locate the dark side area on the other side of the hall that has some stairs leading down.
4 of 6: Holster your weapon and run for the stairs.
5 of 6: You should be able to make it into the crawlspace near the stairs' bottom without the turret being able to damage you any.
6 of 6: You'll emerge from the crawlspace in a small side room to the third turret's area.
