Ambush #3 Tips

  • 1 of 11: Before you figure out how to get the jeep past that force field, clear the entire gas station area of all hostiles.
  • 2 of 11: After the place is secure, check for supplies in the large red shed and in the nearby secret area.
  • 3 of 11: Then look around for a way to get that force field deactivated so you can drive on.
  • 4 of 11: Start by examining the two structures that are projecting the field.
  • 5 of 11: One of them has a power line connected to the top of it.
  • 6 of 11: Follow that line along to see where it leads.
  • 7 of 11: Ah, ha! They're using their APC to power the force field!
  • 8 of 11: To turn the force field off, deal with the APC the same way you would any debris you wanted to get rid of.
  • 9 of 11: Either give the APC some blasts with the gravity gun or remove the two striped blocks from behind the back tires so that it rolls backward into the ocean.
  • 10 of 11: Now you can return to the jeep and continue on down the road.
  • 11 of 11: ALTERNATIVE: It's possible to lower the force field without going anywhere near the gas station, then you can just drive on past it at full speed without having to fight any of the soldiers.
