Half-Life 2 Hints

Section 3: Introducing the Hunter-Chopper (d1_canals_02)

  • 1 of 10: Before you can get to where the hunter-chopper awaits you, you'll have to figure out how to get out of the sludge and onto the raised concrete floor of the room you're in.
  • 2 of 10: Once you're up on the higher floor, you can run outside to encounter the hunter-chopper up close. (In fact, it's so close for a second that you can jump up and hit it with the crowbar!)
  • 3 of 10: It'll fly away without firing at you, but don't think it's going to be that nice all the time.
  • 4 of 10: As soon as you slide down the slippery slope to the trashy area below, the chopper will come back into view and start charging up its guns. (TIP: Before you slip down there, destroy the nearby scanner for an armor battery.)
  • 5 of 10: You're not completely through with the chopper yet. You'll first need to make your way through some wet and slimy tunnels and find a door leading back outside.
  • 6 of 10: When you find the blue door that leads back outside, open it and stick your head out for a second. If the chopper starts firing, duck back inside the tunnel until it stops.
  • 7 of 10: Then go out the door, turn left, and sprint quickly along until you enter a large brick tunnel system.
  • 8 of 10: Pick up the ammo in the starting area of the brick tunnels (including behind a large plank leaning against one wall), then go back outside the way you came.
  • 9 of 10: The chopper will have given up and flown away! Now you can search around for any health kits out there that you missed before.
  • 10 of 10: When you're done with that, return to the brick tunnels and move along until Section 4: Manhacks and Tunnels loads.
