Cop-Skipping Shortcuts
1 of 10: There are two different ways you can shortcut this area and avoid the cops.
2 of 10: The last two cops only appear if you go out onto the grassy slope area (which is what you have to do to get onto the huge pipe the "right" way).
3 of 10: So one shortcut is to deal with the first two cops as specified in the Combat Tips, then climb up the nearby barnacle-guarded stairs.
4 of 10: Get the barrel that's up there and take it down to where the pipe goes into the wall way up out of reach.
5 of 10: Drop the barrel next to the wall so that you can use it to help you jump up next to the pipe.
6 of 10: From there, you can jump onto the pipe and be on your way. (If you have trouble jumping onto the pipe, you can lift your barrel up there to help.)
7 of 10: The only thing wrong with that way is that you can't get to the barrel without the first two cops appearing.
8 of 10: What if you brought a barrel with you from a previous area?
9 of 10: It's a bit of a pain, but you can get the regular (non-explosive) barrel from the area just prior to the room with the big mixing fan and bring it all the way here through the watery tunnels.
10 of 10: If you can manage it, then use that barrel to get up onto the pipe and skip all four painful cop fights!
