Combat Tips
1 of 6: You could gently toss a couple of frag grenades toward the gate as it opens, hoping to kill a couple of soldiers as they come in.
2 of 6: However, an SMG grenade thrown through the gate right after it opens is much more effective (as is a pulse rifle energy orb).
3 of 6: Quickly move back and take cover afterward, shooting down any soldiers who survived your grenade attack.
4 of 6: Since they can spread out and take cover, making them very hard to finish off quickly, you might want to retreat back through the gate Alyx recently opened for you.
5 of 6: Take cover in the alcove near the gate, shotgunning soldiers as they follow you one at a time.
