Lift Combat Tips
1 of 6: After using the panel to summon the lift, you could run for the corner with the recharger and stay there, recharging after finishing off every wave of soldiers.
2 of 6: The hallway that got you to this area also has a recharger, plus it offers much better cover.
3 of 6: Run around the lift without getting on it to see if there are any leftover soldiers or manhacks, then use the recharger in the back if you need to.
4 of 6: The lift will activate and start slowly rising as soon as you go anywhere near the center of it.
5 of 6: You can just ride the lift up, quickly grabbing and throwing any soldiers who appear on side ledges and platforms as you ascend. (Or use energy orbs pulled from conduits to blast them with.)
6 of 6: It's not too hard to make it all the way to the top that way, even on Hard difficulty, but there is an alternative strategy that can be used to help protect you while on the lift.
