Mass Effect 2 Hints
Defeat the Collectors.
of 11: Get your heavy weapon out and take cover. You're about to be attacked by a huge flying machine called an oculus.
of 11: After a bunch more cut-scenes, you'll have to decide who to send on a tech specialist mission and who will lead your second team. Be sure to choose squad members who are loyal for both.
of 11: After they're all down, search around the platforms for thermal clips, then go to the back platform to find a console you can use to get to the station's center.
of 11: Following a cut-scene that reveals much about the true nature of the reapers, enemy platforms will start flying in.
of 11: After the reaper falls, you'll have a conversation with the Illusive Man in which you'll have to make the big end-game morality choice.
of 11: Choose to either completely destroy the collector base (Paragon choice) or to purge the base so Cerberus can move in and use its technology (Renegade choice).
of 11: Whatever your decision, you'll have to go through one last titanic battle with the messed-up reaper.
of 11: Finishing the reaper battle will get you the game-ending cut-scenes, followed by the end credits.
of 11: That's not necessarily the end, though, since you're given the option to play on. There's no point in doing so if you completed everything back when you should have, so your best choice is probably to go to the main menu. (Note that you can now import your character into a new game and replay everything with several large starting bonuses.)
