Mass Effect 2 Hints
Enter Quarantine Zone.
1 of 10: Before you get going on this objective, you should take a quick tour of Omega and check out all the optionals.
2 of 10: Return to the SE area with the "mad prophet" and Harrot's Emporium, then go south from the prophet to find the guarded entrance to the quarantined area.
3 of 10: Move forward and look behind a crate stack to find some refined element zero, then go down the nearby corridor and into the room to the right of the guard post.
4 of 10: Raid the medical station, then go through the door in the back of the guard post area. Move down the stairs slowly, ready to fight two Blue Suns troopers. (Note that they don't see you right away, so you can get in the first shot.)
5 of 10: After they're dealt with, look around for supplies and a batarian victim to optionally help.
6 of 10: After going down the hall past the victim's area, turn right and run through the next room, then turn left and run up to where you can shoot the Blue Suns guys up close around a corner. (There are also explosive canisters in their area that you can blow up.)
7 of 10: Go through the door that's behind the guard post, then move forward and look into the room on the left for several hostiles, both near and far. Take cover near the room's entrance and shoot from there, then charge in and take cover behind the tall machine near the other side of the room when it seems mostly clear.
8 of 10: Go under the big "AUXERA" sign past the combat area, then continue on until you reach the clinic's reception area. In it, you can use a weapons locker to change your loadout, and raid a medical station for medi-gel.
9 of 10: Go down a short hallway to find two rooms. Check the one on the left for refined platinum, refined palladium, a med kit, and a research station that will give you a medi-gel capacity upgrade. The other room has a med kit, refined iridium, refined element zero, power cells, and the guy you're after: Mordin.
10 of 10: Talk to Mordin to get a hand cannon and the "Omega: The Professor: Missing Assistant" optional assignment (and the next mission objective). Also, if you helped the batarian victim earlier, you can mention him to Mordin.
