How do I take Mr. Fyr up on his challenge to plunder his dungeon?
- 1 of 19: It's not going to be easy since there is no dungeon in Tel Fyr.
- 2 of 19: Apparently he's referring to his rooms and the Corprusarium, since that's where all the treasure is.
- 3 of 19: To start the "key chain" stage of the treasure hunt, pick up the key that's on the table behind Divayth Fyr. Don't worry -- he won't mind you snatching that (but don't think you can steal everything in here without sneaking).
- 4 of 19: Note that you'll have to use Levitate to get up to his rooms, which are on the second floor of the Hall of Fyr. (You can get two rising force potions off a shelf in a bedroom on the first floor if you need them.)
- 5 of 19: The key from the table unlocks one of the Dwemer chests in the Corprusarium. You get to that area by going to the lower part of Onyx Hall and finding a door in one of the rooms.
- 6 of 19: Remember that you're not supposed to attack any of the "patients" in the Corprusarium. If you do, you'll be in big trouble with Divayth Fyr. Just dodge them as best you can and save often.
- 7 of 19: The chest you want is the first one you come to in the west half of the area. In it you'll find a goblet and another key.
- 8 of 19: This key opens the chest that's underwater in the east half of the area. Go north past the unlocked gate and dive into the water to find the chest. It has some Dwemer coins and another key.
- 9 of 19: Now go open the chest that's past the nearby unlocked gate. This chest has more goblets and another key. Be patient -- some real treasure is coming up soon.
- 10 of 19: Go back to the west half of the Corprusarium and go all the way west, past the chest you unlocked earlier, to find the last chest in this area. Open it to get more goblets and yet another key.
- 11 of 19: This key opens the chest in Onyx Hall. It's in a room near the door to the Corprusarium.
- 12 of 19: It, of course, has some Dwemer coins and another key.
- 13 of 19: This key will open the chest in the NE part of the Corprusarium Bowels. (Note that the corprus guys don't attack you on this level, so don't worry about them.)
- 14 of 19: The key in that chest will open the small chest that's on a shelf in Divayth Fyr's room. It has the usual next key, but the other item is a cool Daedric amulet.
- 15 of 19: The key from the small chest will open the big chest next to Yagrum Bagarn in the Bowels area.
- 16 of 19: This is the end of the line for the "key chain" treasure hunt. The chest contains a semi-valuable war hammer called Volendrung plus several Dwemer coins.
- 17 of 19: However, there is more treasure around here. For instance, there's Dwemer armor, several skill books, and hundreds of Dwemer coins in the locked closet next to Bagarn. He has a key to it on him, but it's easier to go around to the back of the closet where no one can see you and unlock it with an Ekash scroll or something.
- 18 of 19: The two best artifacts in Tel Fyr are in the big locked chest in Divayth Fyr's room and in the locked closet in a nearby room. Fyr has the key to them on him, but it's extremely hard to pickpocket him without getting caught, and there's no way you'd survive a battle with him. Just use a powerful Open spell and the Telekinesis spell to unlock and untrap the chest and closet and raid them. (Or see my Advanced Lock-Opening Tips for other options.)
- 19 of 19: The chest has Scourge (a Daedric mace) in it, and the closet has the excellent Cuirass of the Savior's Hide (light armor). Definitely worth getting!
