The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a vampire?
1 of 5: The two main advantages are being able to do vampire quests and getting all the great bonuses that vampires get.
3 of 5: Most non-vampires in the world (and vampires of the other two clans) will at the very least refuse to talk to you or offer you any services, and many will attack if you try to talk to them. That goes for merchants, boat and silt strider operators, most quest givers, and so on.
4 of 5: Thankfully, even though several means of fast travel are unavailable to vampires, the Propylon Chambers and Magic Spells are still available. I highly advise you to get all of the Propylon indices and the Boots of Blinding Speed before becoming a vampire.
5 of 5: You also can't regain health by sleeping (though you will still regain magicka and fatigue that way), so use your Vampire Touch spell often. When you're in a vampire HQ area, you can use the spell on the "cattle" to regain health, but be careful not to drain any of them to death.
