Myst V: End of Ages Hints
Where are all of those books?
1 of 6: You'll probably find them as you solve the puzzles, but if you want specific locations, read ahead. Note that some of these hints may tell you a bit about other puzzles, so I recommend you try to finish this age on your own before reading ahead.
2 of 6: The first book (numbered 1 in the D'ni numbering system) is on the top level of the Great Shaft/tunnels. As you're coming down the ladder from the above-ground area where you first met Esher, turn down the hallway to your right, and look in the room at the end of that area.
3 of 6: The second book is near the bottom of the first elevator in the Great Shaft. Look for a doorway on the outer edge of the shaft as you're walking to the second elevator.
4 of 6: The third book is across the other end of the gap in the shaft, near the bottom of the second elevator. Turn to your left as you're crossing the shaft to find the room where the linking book is located. (The machine that turns on the fans will be to your right.)
6 of 6: When you turn on the fan, a ladder will appear in the hallway just outside the fan room. Climb that ladder, and then walk back in the direction of the fan (but on the level above where you just were) to find the last book.
