Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy Hints

How do I move these chemicals?

  • 1 of 7: With extreme caution.
  • 2 of 7: The little arm can be moved around using the four triangles, or you can use your keyboard's arrow keys, and the little slider opens and closes the arm's grippers. With caution, you can grab each chemical --
  • 3 of 7: -- but don't until you know what you're going to do with it. These chemicals will explode if you brush up against them, or if you grip them in the wrong way, or if you pick them up and then put them down in the wrong place. They're WAY picky.
  • 4 of 7: Each chemical needs to be put into its proper bin -- Category 1, Category 2, or Category 3. There's a chart on the wall underneath the elements chart that shows what category each chemical belongs to.
  • 5 of 7: If you compare this chart to the way the chemicals are laid out, you can see that this is going to require some planning. For example, H2O goes in Category 2, but the path is blocked. You'll have to move NH3 and H into the Category 1 bin before you can put H2O into the Category 2 bin.
  • 6 of 7: So make a note about what chemicals belong in which categories, and then start moving them.
  • 7 of 7: When all the chemicals are gone, or at least enough of them to give you access to the key, grab it and drag it to the bottom of the screen.
