Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
How do I learn the password to give the Keeper?
of 10: Have you thoroughly searched the ruins for this information?
of 10: Even if so, you may not have found it.
of 10: The only way to obtain the password is to make it into Gloignar's room in the Lower Ruins and get him to tell you.
of 10: If you can't get the password, you're going to have to admit you don't know it and take the consequences.
of 10: Those consequences come in the form of two mega-powerful mithral golems. They can deal out damage like no other, meaning that even a well-armored fighter with 300+ hit points will almost surely die in straight melee combat with them.
of 10: The most important thing to do is move around so that at least one of the golems starts attacking your henchmen and not you. Having both of them pound on you at once means certain death.
of 10: The golems have a powerful knockdown effect, and it would be very helpful to be immune to knockdown. Wearing dragon slippers of some sort (like the special ones available at location 6 on the West of Lith My'athar map) would do that for you.
of 10: If you wear a Greater Brawler's Belt (available from killing the duergar outside the ruins or buying one from Rizolvir in Lith My'athar), that'll subtract 20 points from the damage done each time they hit you.
of 10: Also, it helps to use the Golem Crasher and Golem Binder items that you can make with the alchemist's tables in the Upper Ruins area.
of 10: Another thing you can try is retreating all the way to the stairs leading up to the Lower Ruins. The golems will follow you and be teleported back to their starting location every time they reach the north end of the narrow bridge that leads south from the exit. This means you can stand patiently near the exit and shoot them whenever they come within range. (Or you can use some kegs of alchemist's fire from the Lith My'athar Environs area to set up a blockade on the narrow bridge that the golems will get stuck on. See following link.)
