Gambler's Luck

  • 1 of 12: Start on this quest by entering the Ravenclaw Tavern in the Market District and talking to Tarin Lightfingers at the card table near the eastern exit.
  • 2 of 12: When he invites you to join in on a card game, you can either accept or decline -- it doesn't matter to the quest.
  • 3 of 12: If you accept, have Lightfingers explain the rules to learn that this is a simple "21" card game.
  • 4 of 12: After the game is over, the minotaur named Ghan will get mad about losing because now he can't buy back the soul brooch that he lost to someone else earlier.
  • 5 of 12: After Ghan has the brooch, talk to Tarin again to get your reward.
  • 6 of 12: While you're still talking to Tarin, a guy named Malthar will interrupt to invite you all to a card game at an unsmashed table nearby.
  • 7 of 12: When you're ready to continue the quest, talk to Malthar and choose to join him for a few drinks.
  • 8 of 12: Whether you order an ale or not, Malthar and his cronies will manage to kidnap Tarin Lightfingers and get away with him.
  • 9 of 12: TIP: If you don't drink the ale, you can fight a couple of guys to gain some combat XP and Nightcrawler uniforms from their remains.
  • 10 of 12: Now it's up to you to rescue Tarin from the evil Nightcrawler gang.
  • 11 of 12: After you exit back to the Market District with Tarin in tow, wait for him to speak to you and offer you his winnings of 400 gold as a reward.
  • 12 of 12: Whether you take the money or not, the quest will finally be over.
