Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints

Aldanon the Sage

  • 1 of 11: Go up to the Blacklake entry gate at the north end of the Merchant Quarter and talk to one of the nearby watchmen.
  • 2 of 11: Show him your pass to get taken straight to Aldanon's door.
  • 3 of 11: When Aldanon speaks to you, it may be possible to get right in if you successfully use a skill-related dialogue option.
  • 4 of 11: After you talk to him for a bit, let him run tests on your two shards to see what he can learn about them.
  • 5 of 11: He'll find that they're pieces of a shattered githyanki silver sword, and will tell you of Ammon Jerro, a guy who actually possessed an unshattered sword of that sort.
  • 6 of 11: When you learn that Jerro had a private haven, your next task will become finding out where it is.
  • 7 of 11: NOTE: Aldanon will give you his silver shard when you leave, bringing your total up to three.
  • 8 of 11: Talk your escort into taking you to the Neverwinter Archives, which is your next stop.
  • 9 of 11: In the archives area, move straight north until a caretaker talks to you.
  • 10 of 11: Tell him what you're after and swear to keep the vault's secrets safe.
  • 11 of 11: He'll then tell you about the four pedestals and how they work.
