The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Paradise
of 18: You'll get this quest right after handing the Great Sigil Stone over to Martin.
of 18: When you're ready, go to the Cloud Ruler Temple's Great Hall and tell Martin.
of 18: NOTE: What he says about the portal closing behind you is true, so once you're in Paradise, there's no coming back until Mankar Camoran is dead.
of 18: After Martin opens the portal, use it like you would an Oblivion gate to travel to the Paradise area.
of 18: Soon after you arrive, Camoran will start yakking at you remotely, and will give you the new conversation topic of "Gaiar Alata."
of 18: Find a nearby "ascended immortal" and talk to him about Gaiar Alata and all other available conversation topics to learn a bit more about what's going on here and how you can find Camoran.
of 18: This Paradise area is very large, and as with the Oblivion worlds, the world map is useless and the local map isn't much better since it can't be zoomed out any or scrolled very far. Due to this, I provide a sketchy map of the area below that might help you navigate.
of 18: A ways east of the starting area is a river that runs north and south, dividing Paradise up into two major divisions (with the western one called the Savage Gardens).
of 18: There's also a "secret" island to the east of the two main Paradise islands that you can visit before you go Camoran hunting.
of 18: When you're ready to go after Camoran, you'll need to get to the Forbidden Grotto, which is the only exit from the Savage Gardens, and then get through it.
of 18: After you exit the Forbidden Grotto back to the Paradise outdoor area, head up all the stairs and then turn right.
of 18: Just ahead is the entrance to Carac Agaialor, where Camoran's two bratty children are standing about.
of 18: Ruma will greet you and ask you to follow her inside. You can do so right away, or you can look around some more first.
of 18: TIP: Harvest all the lichor and ambrosia you can from all the big blue and purple flowers scattered about. Those are health- and magicka- restoring ingredients.
of 18: When you go inside and approach Mankar Camoran on his throne, he'll stand up and start giving one of his big, windy speeches.
of 18: He'll then have his children attack you, after which he'll attack you along with a summoned ally.
